On behalf of the Organising Committee, it is our great honour and pleasure to warmly welcome you to the 4th MACR International Scientific Conference (4th MSC 2026). We are delighted to host you at Hospital Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah (HSAAS), Universiti Putra Malaysia, from 24–25 November 2026, as we gather a vibrant community of researchers, clinicians, and policymakers dedicated to advancing cancer research and care.

Building upon the strong foundations of our previous conferences, the 4th MSC is guided by the theme: “Advancing Regional Cancer Research for Equitable Cancer Care.”

This theme reflects a critical and timely shift in our collective focus from discovery alone to contextualised implementation. While remarkable progress has been made in cancer biology, therapeutics, and precision oncology, the reality across Asia remains complex. The interplay of genetic diversity, sociocultural factors, healthcare infrastructure, and economic constraints continues to shape patient outcomes in profound ways. Addressing these challenges requires solutions that are not only innovative but also regionally relevant, accessible, and sustainable.

This year’s conference places a strong emphasis on regional collaboration and translation into practice. Our programme brings together multidisciplinary experts across Asian cancer biology, novel drug discovery, translational medicine, clinical trials, precision oncology, as well as cancer prevention and screening. In addition, we are proud to feature focused discussions on artificial intelligence in cancer care and the evolving challenges surrounding drug efficacy, affordability, and generics that are increasingly central to equitable healthcare delivery.

Beyond scientific exchange, the 4th MSC is designed to foster meaningful dialogue and partnerships. We believe that impactful change arises when diverse voices converge between scientists working at the bench, clinicians at the bedside, and policymakers shaping health systems. Through plenary sessions, symposia, and interactive forums, we hope to create an environment where ideas translate into collaborations, and collaborations into solutions.
