About 4th MSC 2026
As the global cancer burden continues to rise, one thing is clear: scientific breakthroughs alone are not enough if patients cannot access them. Across Asia, this challenge is especially complex. Our region's incredible diversity—ethnic, cultural, economic, and genetic—brings both opportunities and challenges in cancer care. To make real progress, solutions must be developed for Asia, by Asia, taking into account our unique realities.
Cancer care is a journey that spans cancer screening and prevention, timely and accurate diagnosis, effective and affordable treatment, and compassionate palliation and survivorship care. In Asia, differences in genetics, lifestyle, environment, and health systems, along with cultural practices and financial constraints, shape outcomes at every stage. Traditional and complementary practices continue to influence patient decisions, while access challenges persist across the continuum. Addressing these realities requires practical, inclusive, and tailored approaches for Asian populations.
It is in this context that the Fourth MACR International Scientific Conference (4th MSC) 2026 gathers under the theme "Advancing Regional Cancer Research for Equitable Cancer Care." The conference focuses on strengthening cancer care specifically for Asian populations, addressing the full spectrum from screening and prevention to treatment and supportive care.
We are bringing together scientists, oncologists, clinician-scientists, public health researchers, epidemiologists, and policymakers to collaborate on solutions that make a tangible difference. A few main areas will be covered, including:
- New Cancer Drug Discovery
- Asian Cancer Biology
- Translational Cancer Medicine
- Precision Oncology for Asian Patients
- Clinical Trials of New Cancer Drugs
- Cancer Screening and Prevention
This conference is an invitation to share knowledge, collaborate across disciplines, and shape a future where every patient in Asia has access to effective, equitable cancer care.
