About 4th MSC 2026

As the global cancer burden continues to rise, the disparity between scientific innovation and equitable patient access remains one of the most critical challenges in modern oncology. In Asia, this challenge is uniquely amplified. The region's immense multiethnic diversity presents both profound opportunities and complex hurdles in cancer care, yet research dedicated specifically to the intersection of treatment accessibility, escalating costs, and regional health disparities remains remarkably scarce. While groundbreaking therapies are continually developed, the pressing need to adapt and deliver these life-saving solutions within our specific regional context is an effort that must be driven from within Asia.

Asia's rich sociocultural and genetic landscapes drive considerable variability in both cancer prevalence and responses to anticancer treatments. Unique lifestyle factors and health-related habits indirectly influence patient outcomes, while the use of traditional and complementary practices continues to play a subtle, yet persistent, role in the broader spectrum of clinical care. To bridge the widening gap between medical advancement and patient affordability, solutions must be highly specific to the region's populations.

To address these distinctive regional realities, the Fourth MACR International Scientific Conference (4th MSC) 2026 convenes under the theme "Advancing Regional Cancer Research for Equitable Cancer Care." Moving beyond the discovery of novel therapies, this year's conference focuses on the practical realities of delivering effective, precise, and affordable anticancer treatments. We are bringing together a multidisciplinary coalition — with a strong emphasis on scientists working in public health, alongside oncologists, precision oncologists, epidemiologists, and policymakers — to champion research tailored to Asia.

Join us as we chart a path toward a future where geography and cost no longer dictate a patient's prognosis.

This conference will explore how regional collaborations can streamline treatment delivery, optimize the use of generics to overcome cost barriers, and leverage cutting-edge tools to democratize care.
